I am still amazed by the light show from October 7-8 2015. I have put together the following timelapse, which is basically a sequence of images covering almost all of the activity from late on October 7 and going right through to around 3:00am on the morning of October 8.
The timelapse consists of close to 700 photos, taken on interval shooting mode at one 15 second exposure every 18 seconds. It was a cloudless and moonless night, so sitting behind my camera and tripod I could easily watch the aurora perform its merry dance, while enjoying the colour and finer details which flashed up on my camera after each exposure.
On a side note – it has been a long time between posts to my website as a lot has been going on lately – but I should be providing more regular stories again from now on. Thanks for keeping an eye on my website, and don’t forget to like my Facebook page for plenty more bits and pieces
