We spent a fair bit of time at the Sloop Reef during this months Bay of Fires trip. The Sloop Reef is one of my favourite spots and it was great seeing it under moody grey clouds with steady waves crashing below.
This selection of photos was captured at dusk. Hoping for a colorful sunset, the clouds kind of ruled that out but the greyness was really quite nice and allowed for some great long exposures. I used my 5 stop neutral density filter for most of these.
My next Bay of Fires photography workshop is scheduled for August 6-9. The short days of winter mean great light as well as sunrise sessions that are not too early and sunset sessions, and hopefully a night sky session, at very manageable times. We will also visit the rainforest at St Columba Falls. Check the link for the details and to book a place click here.
