Raptor Workshop Wrap Up

The first ever “Raptor Reflections” Art and Photography Workshop has wrapped up with 8 very excited participants being introduced to some of Tasmania’s endangered raptors. Craig Webb was on hand to give us all a close up encounter with a Grey Goshawk, an Australian Hobby and a Brown Falcon. Other raptors such as Masked Owls and Wedge Tailed Eagles were never far away and it was delightful to see people peacefully interacting with these birds through their interest in photography and painting. Thank you to everyone who joined us – it was a real pleasure to meet you all and see the images you created!

Raptor Refuge Art Photography Workshop August 2014 – The workshop was a combination of sitting and talking about topics such as raptor conservation, wildlife art and photography; and practical in the field tuition while viewing the raptors in a calm, quiet environment.

We were treated to some magnificent catering courtesy of the Nicholls Rivulet Organic Farm who provided warm and filling meals on both days so a very big thank you goes out to them too 🙂

For anyone interested in this workshop, new dates will be announced soon. Feel free to contact me in advance or to “Like” my Facebook page for regular updates about this and other Tasmanian photography workshops.
