Sunrise Spots Hobart – There are many great locations around Hobart to capture great sunrise photos. Here are some shots from an area I have been to a few times over the years – Clifton Beach.

Great Tasmanian sunrise spots: Clifton Beach

Clifton Beach is located approx 30 minutes driving time from Hobart along the South Arm Highway past Lauderdale. The easiest access point is the beach car park at the end of the main road. There is a nice rocky headland to the south/west, which provides you with many interesting foregrounds to play with.

There is a nice and shelly beach with great views to the east into the sunrise.

Cape Deslacs at the other end of the beach isn’t necessarily in a great orientation for catching the sunrise, but again consists of many great rocky outcrops which are also fun with low light long exposures.
