World Heritage Tasmania – One Week Photography Tour
This Photographic expedition will take you through the celebated Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. See magnificent rainforest and sublime waterfalls and river cascades. Search for Platypus at Australia’s deepest lake and enjoy magnificent mountain panoramas of this ancient landscape. We will see the Tarkine, Tasmania’s secret wilderness, and marvel at tannin stained river water and rainforest, and a close up view of the Huon Pine. From the Tarkine we travel to Cradle Mountain which is a compulsory stopping point for all photographers who visit Tasmania. We will enjoy 2 nights at the Cradle Mountain Chateau, and take some time to view the Wilderness Gallery.

Bring: Camera & Tripod; Wet weather gear (for yourself and for your camera); hot weather gear (sunhat & glasses); good shoes; water/snacks.
Tour note: We will be on well formed tracks and not undertaking strenous walking, so bring as much as you are happy to carry. The emphasis is on soaking up these magnificent World Heritage listed ancient Tasmanian landscapes, so we will be photographing waterfalls, ancient mountain ranges, and the beautiful details within the forest landscape.
Driving Times: Just over 1 hour from Hobart to Mt Field National Park; Approx 2 hours from Mt Field to Lake St Clair. Driving time from Lake St Clair to the Tarkine is approx 3 hours, and we will be making many photo stops along the way. From the Tarkine to Cradle Mountain is approximately 2.5 hours drive time. We will break the day with a beautiful Tarkine Rainforest Waterfall walk. From Cradle Mt it is approximately 5 hours driving time via the Central Plateau. We will stop en route at scenic spots in the highlands.
