Tour notes

The exact time of the dusk & dawn shoots will vary depending on the time of sunrise and sunset of the tour. We will spend at least one hour in the field for each shoot.

There is no extended hiking planned and participants should expect short walks with their gear. The emphasis is on tuition and improving photographic technique. Some trails may be wet, muddy or uneven but at no time will you be compelled to walk in unsafe conditions. A headtorch is recommended for pre-sunrise and post-sunset darkness.

Cradle Mountain can present any type of weather at any time of year. Please check the Cradle Mountain weather forecast carefully before the tour departs and bring windproof and waterproof gear, including umbrella, just in case.

Driving Time

Cradle Mountain is approximately 4.5 hours driving time from Hobart. We will stop for lunch around noon on Day 1. Dinner on Day 3 (back in Hobart) is not included in the price of the tour. Dove Lake is approximately 20 minutes from the Cradle Mountain hotels.
