Cradle Mountain Photography Workshops
My 4 day Cradle Mountain Photography Workshops have evolved into a biannual event, one in autumn and one in spring. In addition I run private 3 day tours for 1 or 2 guests all year round.
All Cradle Mountain trips include sunrise, sunset and (weather permitting) a night sky shoot at Dove Lake.
During the days we visit multiple locations in the area to shoot waterfalls, alpine rainforest and seasonal highlights such as the fungi in the autumn and new growth on the ferns in spring.
We also visit the Devils@Cradle sanctuary for a guided tour and to photograph the Tasmanian Devil and Tasmania’s two quoll species. A half day shoot at Philosopher Falls in the Tarkine is also a unique inclusion in this tour.
All my Cradle Mountain workshops are limited to a maximum of 6 pax and include a single room at the Cradle Mountain for each guest. All meals, transport (starting and finishing in Hobart) and entry fees are included in the tour fee. There is no minimum requirement regarding equipment or ability/experience, everyone is welcome to join.
Sample itinerary:
Day 1: Depart Hobart, travel to Cradle Mountain. Afternoon, sunset and potential for night shoot.
Day 2: Sunrise and sunset. Explore the trails at Cradle Mountain. Tasmanian Devil Park (Devils@Cradle)
Day 3: Sunrise and sunset shoot. Half day shoot at Philosopher Falls in the Tarkine.
Day 4: Depart Cradle Mountain. Return to Hobart via West Coast including photo shoots at Nelson Falls and Lake St Clair.
