Tasmanian Experience – report from Cradle Mountain

The seven day “Tasmanian Experience” photography workshop with myself and Michael Snedic wrapped up today after three nights at Cradle Mountain, followed by two nights at Freycinet and the last night here in Hobart. We were truly blessed with the weather at Cradle Mountain and had clear views of the mountains for all but one of our shoots, and the weather was calm enough for plenty of wonderful reflections in the lake. Here are some of the best shots of the Cradle Mountain portion of the trip.

Cradle Mountain Photography Workshop – Dusk shoot at Dove Lake. This image was captured using my B+W 10 stop neutral density filter, and was a two minute exposure right on dusk. Filters and long exposure are a popular topic for discussion and demonstration on this workshop.

Cradle Mountain Photography Workshop. Sunrise and sunset shoots are the highlight of this workshop. It makes for a long day but it is worth it 🙂

I run regular (on demand) photography tours to locations such as Mt Field and the Styx Valley, Cradle Mountain and the Bay of Fires. For a run down on all my Tasmanian photography workshops click here. All of these workshops (apart from the Tasmanian Experience) run for a minimum of two people, all year round. Contact me to discuss dates.
