Fungi Fun Days!

Fungi fun days – aka my autumn photography workshops in Tasmania 🙂

This autumn – May and June in particular – I will be taking small groups out into the wilds of Tasmania to photograph not only the beautiful landscapes of Tasmania’s various regions, but also the tiny little fungi that pop up at this time of year.

Fungi really is a fascinating fascination. From a photography point of view, it is so easy for hours and hours to just disappear as you spend time searching amid stunning old forest scenery for these tiny little autumn denizens of the rainforest. From a scientific point of view, the role they play in sharing nutrients through the forest and recycling fallen leaves and limbs is remarkable. From any other point of view it is just plain fun 🙂

For me photography is all about “going slow”. Going slow means seeing things. And it takes time to see things. My photography workshops are all about a slow paced exploration of beautiful landscapes with cameras in hand.
