What to Expect
Starting and finishing in Hobart, you will spend a day learning the best techniques for photographing the stunning forest scenery of Tasmania’s World Heritage listed Mt Field and Styx Valley.
Photograph beautiful waterfalls and cascading streams. Marvel at Tasmania’s biggest trees and tiny intricate rainforest details.
This experience runs on demand, all year round as a private experience for you/your group. Photographers of all skill levels, smart-phone photographers and non-photographers are all welcome.

Itinerary
8:30: Depart Hobart It is just over 1 hour driving time to Mt Field National Park
AM: Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls We will spend the morning exploring the beautiful myrtle beech and tree-fern filled rainforest with the goal of capturing two of Tasmania’s most picturesque waterfalls at Mt Field National Park.
PM: Styx Valley of the Giants After lunch in the National Park visitor centre we will explore the lesser known Styx Valley of the Giants. Home to some truly massive trees, the Eucalyptus regnans, and a lovely wild river, we will spend a leisurely afternoon exploring camera settings and technique further.
Return to Hobart, including hotel drop off, between 17:00~18:00

We will be on well formed tracks and not undertaking strenuous walking, so bring as much as you are happy to carry. The emphasis is on soaking up the forest environment, and we will stop and photograph waterfalls, cascading creeks and the beautiful details within the forest landscape.

Just over 1 hour from Hobart to Mt Field National Park and approximately 40 minutes from Mt Field to the Styx Valley.
