Spring in Tasmania – A great time for Rainforest Photography!
Spring in Tasmania is a wonderful time for photographing the beautiful wet forests and waterfalls Tasmania is famous for.
Spring in Tasmania is the best time to get out and about in the tall eucalypt and rainforests. The moss glows a beautiful green, the ground is soft underfoot and the waterfalls and creeks are full of fast flowing clear water. Spring is when the forest comes back to life, tiny little ferns uncurl from the intense green of the forest floor. Trees start to flower, and rebirth is everywhere.
Guided Photography Tours with an experienced Tutor
The best way to experience these places is slowly. Stopping to look in the nooks and crannies of the old growth forests. My Tasmanian photography tours enable just this. We spend a few hours on trails that most visitors gloss over in just 20 minutes, and find wonderful subjects to photograph from the giant to the miniscule. Have you ever wondered how to capture that smooth, milky effect on a stram or waterfall? Or how to make the greens of the forest really shine? After one day together your photographic technique and understanding of your camera will improve dramatically. It is recommended you bring a tripod, and whatever lenses and accessories you normally carry. We will discuss composition, accessories and all aspects of correct exposure for the dynamic conditions of the rainforest.
Check my Tasmanian Photography Tours page for a range of adventures to Tasmania’s most scenic locations, such as Cradle Mountain; Bay of Fires & of course the forests of Mt Field & the Styx Valley.
