Macro photography with flowers: Pink Lily
Here are a couple of macro photographs of a pink lily I took earlier in the year, using my 100mm f2.8 macro lens. I enjoy the effect (and challenge!) of extremely shallow depth of field when shooting macro, and flowers are a perfect subject. The tips of the long stamen of the lily disappearing into a pink and purple haze of colour.
All of my photographs are available through my landscapes gallery in Hobart or by ordering through this site. My range of images is accessible through the “Tasmanian Photography” tab in the menu above. All images are printed on a fine art cotton rag, “Portfolio Rag” by Museo and printed on archival inks.
