Time for a little bit of a brag…

A number of my Cradle Mountain images have been chosen as artworks in the Cradle Mountain Bar aboard the brand new Spirit of Tasmania vessel!

There’s been a lot of shenanigans with the new Spirit vessels – you can read a little bit about that here if you wish – but once they are finally in service I hope anyone on board enjoys the imagery with a drink and a meal. The new vessel in fact features the work of multiple Tasmanian photographers and it is really great of them to show support for us locals 🙂

The longest shot – a panorama of Dove Lake and Cradle Mountain taken from the snow on Marions Lookout is 3.85 metres. One of the largest prints I have had produced of my work in fact! All the others are close to 2 metres on the long side. The largest I’ve ever printed remains the big 6+ metre shot of the Hobart Zinc Works which welcomes visitors to the Brooker Inn.

I haven’t had the chance to get on board to see for myself as yet, being away last month when the artworks where completed. So a big thank you must go out to Allanah from Handmark Gallery for making this happen and providing me with the photos so I could see how it all came together!
