Tarkine rainforest and morning mist

I have been visiting the Tarkine since before moving to Tasmania way back in 2004, and have written many little blog posts about my travels there and the picture below to me represents something of a “full-circle” in terms of my own photography.

This image is an aerial (drone) photo of the magnificent rainforest and morning mist at sunrise. And it reminds we very much of my first overnight trip to the Tarkine many moons ago, where from our campsite on the top of Mt Donaldson I captured the following image at dawn:

I used the term “journey” a lot in my recent book “Tasmania: A Photographic Journey” and this new shot, taken with the aid of the drone seems to show that the journey indeed continues 🙂
