Turbulent Times…

I haven’t had much time for my photography lately but I do want to take the time to pass on my best wishes to everyone as the global outbreak of the corona virus forces some pretty tough times upon us.

Stormy seas and sunset rainbow – west coast, Tasmania

Obviously my wife and I, being self employed in tourism and through my photography, have endured a complete stop to business and face great uncertainty – and we are certainly not the only ones.

For the short term Salamanca is off and all of my autumn photography tours are cancelled. An idea I had for a “Fungi Fun-day” workshop this autumn will be put on the backburner.

The bigger picture of reducing the spread of this virus and minimising it’s impact on all those we care about is by far the priority so I enter this enforced down time with a sense of purpose and I urge everyone to do the same.

Lay low for a while, take it easy. Perhaps use the time to explore something you’ve always been interested in but never had the time. Read that book, get into music or art. Maybe even photography! But above all, be good to each other through this uncertain and challenging period…
