Wombat Rescue Tasmania

A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of meeting with Joy from Wombat Rescue Tasmania. She is doing an amazing job to care for these well loved critters, who sadly are facing many difficulties – most notably mange and roadkill.

I was up in Miena presenting a photography workshop and the wombats stole the show on the last day. As cute as they are, it is very sad to hear of their struggles in the wild. Even while we were there Joy got a call out for a rescue and had to go pick one up.

The organisation is in need of support including donations so I would urge anyone who is able to donate to send a little to this group. You can visit their website or their facebook page to find out all the donation and contact details.

A rare photo of me 🙂
