Milky Way Rising – Bruny Island
I wanted to introduce you to my new favourite Milky Way shot – meet “Milky Way Rising – Bruny Island”!
This image was captured back in July during one of my 3 day private tours on Bruny Island. Needless to say it was a major highlight of our time on the island 🙂The purple-pink hue in the image was not visible to the naked eye and was quite surprising when it appeared on camera. Looking into it afterwards, it appears to have been caused by dust and ash high in the atmosphere caused by the Tongan volcanic eruption early in the year. There were many amazing sunset photos popping up earlier in the year caused by this volcano so I can only assume this was the same. It faded away as the night went on as this next photo shows.
The image is available as a fine art photo print either framed or unframed (print only) or on canvas. Contact me to discuss a purchase!
