Wedge Tailed Eagle release by Raptor Refuge of Tasmania
Today out near Jericho, Craig Webb from the Wildlife & Raptor Refuge of Tasmania set free another magnificent Wedge Tailed Eagle, this time a young female bird that has been in his care for a few months after being involved in a collision. The young eagle was now fighting fit and ready to be returned to the wild, and the stark eucalypt woodlands of the southern midlands will provide a great new home for her. Craig and the Refuge’s greatest fundraiser is the annual calendar, which features many of my photos taken at the refuge. I have the calendar in stock, and anyone interested is encouraged to contact me online or drop by my Salamanca Market stall on Saturdays here in Hobart.
The Wildlife & Raptor Refuge of Tasmania is only open to groups (eg school groups), and all funds raised by the calendar directly benefit these rare and endangered Tasmanian birds. Please show your support to the cause this Christmas!
