Cradle Mountain Photography Tour & Workshop
I run highly personalised Cradle Mountain photography tours to Tasmania’s most celebrated natural icon for one or two guests on demand. The tour is a 2 night/3 day trip to one of Tasmania’s most popular landscape photography locations.

What do we photograph on one of these tours?
Upon arrival we will visit some of the magnificent short rainforest walks in the area, as well as visiting the picturesque Dove Lake to plan our sunset shoot. We will rise early for the sunrise, again at Dove Lake and spend the rest of our time looking at the magnificent forests & waterfalls and atmospheric old huts in the area.

During the evening we will enjoy time in the wonderful Cradle Mountain Hotel discussing any aspect of photography you would like to improve upon, from composition tips and tricks to post processing and digital workflow. The trip is available all year round and the aim of these workshops is highly personalised tuition. Beginners are very welcome.

What time of year is best at Cradle Mountain?
Summer is traditionally the busy season for tourism in Tasmania but the “off” season contains very rich photographic rewards. In autumn the forest is wet and a myriad of fantastically coloured fungi appears all over the forest floor. In winter snow on the mountain and frosty lakes and vegetation make for very unique compositions. And in spring the waterfalls and rivers are full of water. In short, Cradle Mountain photography tours are a wonderful experience at any time of the year.
