Gunns Plains Caves

Gunns Plains Caves is located in the hills of north west Tasmania, around 45 minutes out of Burnie. We visited last year during the coronavirus interstate border shutdown and were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour that afternoon so I was given permission to bring my tripod in for some nice shots of the stunning formations. The cave tour is approximately one hour and includes a fair few stairs and is a great cave experience. Enjoy the pics below 🙂

The cave is also home to some glowworms but photography of the glowworms is strictly banned.

All the visiting and tour details are on the Cave’s website. Well worth a visit – along with the nearby Leven Canyon – on any visit to the north west.
