Harridge Falls

Harridge Falls is in north east Tasmania and starts from an unmarked location on the A3 highway near Weldborough.

Harridge Falls in flood, earlier this year.

When we visited earlier this year the falls were basically in flood so there weren’t a great deal of options composition-wise. I certainly wasn’t going to step out into this torrent! It looks like a great waterfall and I look forward to heading back when there is a touch less water going over it.

Harridge Falls, with a longer exposure.

The start of the track is unmarked, and the track itself follows a few pink markers on the trees and ferns. It isn’t a long walk down – perhaps 15 minutes or so. You could spend a long time exploring the forest too, and when water levels are down I am sure there would be some great shots to be had.

Anyone wnating a bit more info on the falls including location etc should check out the Waterfalls of Tasmania site. Lots of good info to be had there 🙂
