My workshops are designed to show you the best Tasmania has to offer, and cater for all interests.

• The Mt Field & Styx Valley Photography Tour is one full day photographing rainforest including cascading streams, waterfalls and the tallest trees in Australia.
• The Bay of Fires Photography Tour is four days of photography in Tasmania’s north east, including sunrise and sunset and beautiful coast features.
• The Cradle Mountain Photography Tour is four days in the iconic Cradle Mountain region, photographing wildlife, alpine rainforest and of course Cradle Mountain & Dove Lake.
• The Tarkine Photography Workshop includes 5 days at Corinna, in the remote north west. Highlights of this trip include river cruises, rugged west coast sunset session and beautiful rainforest – including waterfalls and fungi.

Who can participate?

Tuition is aimed at ALL photographers: those who are quite new to photography and would like to fast track their learning, or slightly more experienced shooters who would like some guidance and some specific advice. You will be surprised at how much you can learn in a day or two in a small group environment. All my tours run for a minimum of two participants so if you and a friend are both keen to learn then you may even have an extremely personalised tour!

Experienced/professional photographers will benefit from my local knowledge of locations, so if time is limited and you have some specific goals in mind, contact me to discuss a tailor made trip.

One on One Tuition

For those who would simply like an hour or two of personal tuition, I offer one on one tuition as well. Normally the tuition takes place in a cafe or similar in central Hobart. Topics to discuss include: Camera settings and exposure; ISO; post processing; composition and so on.
